This paper focuses on the casing drying process production line of a casing factory in Shandong Province. The drying scheme of liquid desiccant closed-cycle system is used to replace the original drying scheme with high-temperature steam heat source. In this renovation project, part of the return air from the casing drying room is introduced into the liquid desiccant air conditioning unit for dehumidification treatment and then mixed with the remaining return air. After being heated by the condenser of the unit, the low-humidity and high-temperature hot air is sent into the casing drying tunnel. Compared with the original system, the operation of the liquid desiccant technology scheme is not affected by outdoor air parameters and can realize annual production. Ultimately, the purposes of reducing operation energy consumption and increasing casing production can be achieved. Through the actual measurement of the parameters of the liquid desiccant drying system and comparative analysis with the original high-temperature steam heat source drying scheme, the results show that the annual casing production can be increased by 20.5%, the operation cost can be reduced by 48.5%, and the unit dehumidification cost can be reduced by 56.8%. The energy-saving effect is remarkable.
